Need a little help on a 1998 Explorer

SWMBO was driving our daughters 1998 Explorer when sh thought she ran over something in the road. It appears that she didn't run over anything but something has gone south on the Air Ride System. I believe that the air pump has quit. Does anyone know where in the vehicle it's located and how do you test it?

A 98 Explorer doesn't have air ride does it? I had a 96 some years back and it was a solid axle rear with leaf springs and upper and lower control arm coil spring front end.

It does have a solid rear axle with leaf springs but it has something that adjust the shocks and it called an air ride system on the system check console.

Sorry, mine didn't have that. It must be a "limited" only type thing?
