OK, I have a good one...
The parts: I have a new steel flywheel, a new T5z, and a Spec stage 2 clutch and PP with a Ford Motorsports throwout bearing. I also have a hydraulic clutch from Modern Driveline (with the external slave cylinder). Stock bellhousing, clutch fork and pivot, none of which is new.
The problems:
Any ideas on this?
Thanks,
-Shannon

The problems:
- I can't get the clutch to engage until the pedal is very low to the floor. I've adjusted all the slack out of the pedal linkage and the slave cylinder is pushing the clutch fork almost 2" forward. In order to give it more pedal, I've had to adjust in a fair amount of preload, which I'm told by Modern Driveline, is bad.
- Mostly on the downshift, but also occasionally on the upshift, it can be very hard to get the trans in gear. At times it grinds, but rarely
- When I'm coming to a traffic light, I hear a loud whirring (not grinding).. it sounds exactly like a large fan spinning down, I know it's not my fan because I have an electric fan. It's definitely related to speed because it gets quieter the slower the car goes.
- No vibrations to speak of, although it's kinda hard to tell since I have the Ron Morris engine mounts and they're pretty close to being solid mounts
- The transmission has done this behavior since I started driving it, I probably have less than 50 miles on the setup
Any ideas on this?
