Need some help paying it forward with Daytona 500 Tix

I won a pair of Daytona 500 tickets for the race this weekend at a local trivia contest last week. Look like pretty decent seats (Lund Tower, Section R, Row 41) on the back stretch. I have a good family friend who is a huge Nascar fan who I had offered them to, but he can't make it. I'm not big into Nascar and have other plans this weekend so I'm not going to use them. I figured I could throw them up for sale, but then I thought why not try and pay it forward a little?

So this is where I need your help guys. I'm afraid if I just toss them up on Craigslist for free, it's going to be a feeding frenzy of people who are just looking to either score a good deal or turn around and sell them. So, any parents, grandparents, godparents, cool aunts/uncles have a kid that they would like to take to the race? Or have a parent/grandparent/friend that has always wanted to see a race but can't afford to go? Post up, shoot me a PM, whatever and the tickets are yours/theirs - for free. First come, first serve, but with priority going to someone who wants to take their kid/parent/grandparent/sibling to a race. I can mail the tix out to you right away or you can pick them up in person in SWFL.

All I ask is three things: 1) Be honest about your situation if you want the tix and don't resell them (karma is a b**ch); 2) You must have an absolutely awesome time at the race (this one is non-negotiable); and 3) Pay it forward the next chance you get.

If you still have them maybe you could try to find a mentor program that is near datoyna so someone could take a kid to the race--would be a trip of a lifetime for some.

I've send out e-mails and made phone calls to several but none of them seem to be interested in them. I never thought it would be this difficult to give away some tickets to the Daytona 500! Come on guys, someone has to know of a deserving pair for these tickets!

Ok , you won't know for sure if they were sold after winning but our local country radio station gives away tickets to different events locally--you would have to hurry and get them on the air like tomorrow.

I did try local radio stations, but most of them syndicate through a national talk morning/evening show and said they couldn't use them or that they would need 10+ tickets to do a giveaway.

In better news, I have finally found a deserving pair for the tickets! Through a friend, a sister is surprising her brother who is a huge Nascar fan and has been down on his luck lately with the tickets. She is a fan as well and since he lives on the other coast of Florida, they don't get to see each other as often as they would like. I was really hoping to find a deserving kid for the tickets, but I feel like this is a good use for the tickets. I greatly appreciate the help with this guys!
