Boys and hot chicks,
I need a new laptop for my work which will be basically be running Quickbook for Wholesale / Manufacturing. Between AMD, Intel and whoever else, is there any one chip that is total garbage or which one do most recommend. Seems like those computers with AMD seem to be cheaper than those with Intel. Then say within Intel is dual core or thei i3, i4, i7 chips. Too many choices.

Which one should I get. I've always like Toshiba. This next one needs a built in keypad

I've run several with AMD processors, and never had a problem. Still running a two yo laptop with AMD, and a less than 1 yo desktop for the church with AMD.

I bought a Toshiba 13" last year w/o DVD because I wanted light/small/ portable with 6hr. battery life. The screen gives a really nice pic, I think they make their own screen (not LCD or LED) and it uses less power so it doesn't get as hot. You'll need a larger one to get the number keypad but I don't have anything bad to say about the product. It's also got HDMI hookup so I can plug it into the widescreen TV to show stuff on the big screen.

For what you're doing, laptops will be a commodity and all model processors should do just fine for you. I'm also running a Toshiba Tecra with a CD/DVD reader/writer and am very happy with it.

Damn, So many Toshiba's to pick from. Just like looking for a new girl friend on the Stanford Campus. :thu

I build my own and use AMD exclusively. Never had a processor failure or compatibility issues.

Last computer Randy built, he posed for this pic for Geek, the Magazine.
