What is it with Iowa drivers? Holy bajolie, these are the most timid people behind the wheel that I've ever come across. It's wearing my patience razor thin and I haven't even been here 6 months yet. They all drive under the speed limit, go painfully slow when merging and clog up some of the best on/off ramps I've seen.

People on bicycles are more daring!

I might need to add a cattle prod to the front of the vehicles.

But their engines stay running.......says a native Iowan...the tractors may be faster.

Of course, when I was stationed in Kansas, I thought they were all the worst and slowest drivers anywhere...

And now about Fl. drivers....oh well, not enough space to write about them all.

Between the crappy Utah drivers and the tailgating Californians, then the straight selfish buttheads from Vegas we get our share. Oh, don't forget the dumbasses from Colorado.

For the Vegas people it is either balls to the walls or 10 mph slower than the speed limit in the #1 lane. the Utards merge at 40 mph and then wonder why the truckers are driving in the #1 lane at 15 mph less then the posted 80 mph limit.

The Kalifornians, well they are always in the #1 lane and never move over even if they are slower and they figure at 85 mph 10 feet is a safe distance to follow.

The idiots from Colorado, well, they are all over the spectrum! Either they drive as fast as they can or 10-15 mph below the limit.

I just don't understand what has happened to the quality of drivers.....

The only time I ran into drivers like this in Kansas, they were either farmers on tractors or farmers in trucks. You expect it, but in town?? There is a major problem in this area!

Quite a lot. As our population has grown more and more people are growing up in city environments versus the rural or less densely populated areas a lot of us grew up in. Whereas most of us were driving vehicles of one type or another when we were young, lots of today's new drivers never touch a steering wheel until they are in their later teens and practicing for their licenses. And then they are only making short drives on low speed city streets. I probably logged thousands of miles on tractors by the time I was 15! Not too mention all the underage pick-up truck driving I had been doing on remote country two lane blacktop. Like everything else, the sooner one starts and the more they do it the better they can become.

Oh, and then there is that whole some guys just drive better than others thing.

I thought from the title Mark was gonna be complaining about the wife beating him again.

Bad drivers...they're everywhere.

I don't think he complains about that.

I often wonder if Hollywood writers looked at the names of city streets and places of business for names. There is a Harvey Mudd college out here. And Stella said thing thing thing after HM told her to shut up. When I see a VW Thing I say to myself thing thing thing...
I cannot remember what the SWMBO told me last nite, but I can remember lines from Star Trek. :hs
