I got a new band saw for Christmas.

I'm sure it will come in handy for lots of jobs. Just hope I don't cut my finger off lol.

I realize that this is a cheap hobby grade unit, but I'd like to cut up to 3/8 to 1/4 in metal. Any suggestions as to where to get a couple blades.

I looked at Lowes and didn't see any blades that didn't say for non-ferrous metals.

What are the speeds? If its designed for cutting wood then it'll be way too fast for metal.

Loads of places online to buy metal blades.

Reading the reviews on the saw....it looks to be set for wood.

Perfect for wood, plastic, flesh and bone....not so much for metal.
