New carb suggestions

I'm thinking of dropping a new carb on the 289 for a little better street performance.

Current carb is a Holley 700DP with milled choke tower and 4 corner idle. Not that optimal for street driving.

Thinking of the Holley Street Avenger 670.

Tried a Holley 600 and while it pulled like mad it was always lean.

Heres the specs including current carb configuration:

289 bored .030
11:1 compression

Heads are World Products (Dart II) 351 Windsor Sr.
2.02 intake 1.60 exhaust valves
Heads milled (along with the block decked) to give a 60cc chamber

Cam is a Comp Cams 282S
282/282
236/236 @ .050
526/526 lift
110 LSA
RPM Range 2000-6000

4 speed
3:50 rear
Performer RPM manifold

Timing:
10 initial
36 total all in by 3000rpm

Carb has been on the car about 16 years. (Of course I have rebuilt it a few times.)
I had the choke tower milled and the 4-corner idle installed.

If my notes are correct for the carb:

Jets:
74 front
80 rear

Power valves:
4.5 front
plug rear
(Pulls 6"-7" of vacuum idling at 700rpm)

Squirters:
31 front
35 rear

Front pump cam:
orange - hole 1

Rear pump cam:
pink - hole 1

Suggestions??

Thanks
Paul

I've heard several good things about the Summit Racing carbs.

I know I am about to drag my Holley 600 out and shoot it then replace it with a Summit.

The Holley routinely ticks me off and is a real pain to get and keep adjusted...it almost seems moody...

700 cfm is quite a bit of carb for a 289, but not totally out of the realm of things, considering the parts you have on it.

I'd just put the 670 cfm back on it and jet it up a little. Why spend money if you don't have to?
