New front shocks - what to get?

My wife's 68 coupe need new front shocks (this is be mostly city driven and some highway). I was about to do a NPD order and I noticed they had Motorcraft replacements, KYB Gas Adjust and KYB GR-2. Which one should I get or something else?

Really depends on what ride you want.....firm or soft...... I believe the KYB's are a firmer ride from the start.

Also, I would check local parts houses and compare prices. I have found many items at Auto Zone and such that is name brand and cheaper than the "Mustang" specific places. Just check the brand on things local.....

Anything but electric shocks!

What else did you expect someone like me to say? Hmmmm?

Well, when you get an electrical shock, certain items go hard, and other items go soft...

Forget about Motorcraft shocks. They are NOT original equipment. Motorcraft doesn't really make anything anymore, and who knows who does supply them with shocks. You'll pay more for them and probably get a cheaper product.

For a very firm, well handling ride, pick up some Gas-A-Justs. Good shocks that control body roll very well, but they can be harsh.

For a more comfortable daily driver quality ride, get the GR-2's. They're still going to be more responsive than Monroe or *gag* Gabriel, but they won't rattle your fillings out.
