what's up guys. found a 66 coupe i could afford so i sold my 86 coupe and bought it. it was just a roller shell, no doors, fenders, trunk lid, interior, engine, trans. the guy was parting it before i bought it. it's a shame cause it only has 78k orig miles on it. the good is it's completely solid and 99.8% rust free, just a couple of small bubbles on the rear lower 1/4's. everything else including the cowl is rust free. here's a couple of pics from when i picked it up and with a few parts on it. i paid the steep sum of $900 for it.

Nice find, nice deal. Whats the plans? Looks like you have a door collection growing.... Where are you located, chances are there is someone close...

i'm in spring hill florida about an hour north of tampa. the door collection, lol. i'm using the windows and guts out of the red doors, the good unrusted doors i found are on the car now. i'm going to keep it stock inside/out and add a set of 15" styled steel wheels. i'm going to mod the drivetrain- i have a late 302 ( staying carb),t-5z, and some 3.80's for the rear. going to do a juice clutch, and i'm doing the roller bearing conversion on the clutch/brake pedal. went up to NPD and dropped $1200 on parts when i bought it. i've had it since oct '10.

Welcome aboard. I would really like to see how you go about repairing those bubbles on the quarter/wheel well.

Did someone say, build thread?

i'm not sure on the bubbles yet. if it's bad i'll just weld a patch in.

build thread will be slow going, lol. i have a pretty small budget.

i'd like to have it running driving for my 40th next jan.
