Hello, My name is Kyle. I have had 9 mustangs but this is my first adventure into the vintage stangs. I have a 1970 Grabber Blue fastback. I have all of the Mach1 goodies and new sheet metal for her. I have a 1969 351 windsor that I am having built (as we speek) and a t 5 Z World class 5 speed. The car is rough, but fixable. I want to start on the fornt approns and floors first , but have never done it before. The approns look pretty straight forward. But would love to have someone there with me that has done it before. I live in Olathe Kansas. I have gotten a few estimates and about passed out when I got the quote. I have all the tools and the hunger to do it, just lack the experience. Any advice or words of encouragement would be great. Thanks Kyle

Welcome Kyle, look forward to seeing the car come together. You need to hook up with Jeremy, 70_Fastback, he is from Olathe as well. IIRC, J's car was a Grabber as well.

BTW- dont let J talk you into a HUGE hood scoop...

Looks like a great start. I replaced the aprons, shock towers, and front frame rails. It's not a great play by play, but you can get an idea from my blog http://67fastback.webs.com/
If you have any questions, I'll try my best to answer. Good luck.
Bill

Holy crud, another Kansas bloke. You'll have to join us the next time we go to Sadlers.

I think it was originally grabber blue too.

J has some wicked skilz and a 70 grabber for inspiration.

Welcome!

silverbluebp, where are you located at? as for the fastback. I am thinking either grabber orange, grabberblue, or raven black.

Welcome....you may reconsider your 'handle' when your car has nice new paint.

We have fun here except for one guy. :lol

Well I'll be damned. I'm in Olathe too. Over on the West side.

My Grabber was originally Grabber Green - but now is Grabber Orange.

I'm always up for some wrenching too. FYI.

Yep; I-35 N/S splits in down the middle.

So what your saying is there is one stop light in the town and I-35 N/S splits in half. So...............................................
how have you two never tripped over each other. :nk
