Has anyone seen this new 5-speed trans coming out next year from McLeod? It was revealed at SEMA a couple of weeks ago, and they say it can handle over 800 ft/lbs of torque!

Any word on price?

From what I've heard, MeLeod is trying to target a price that is not too much higher than a new TKO, which costs around 2K. I'm guessing the MeLeod trans will go for something around $2300-$2500. However, you might need to purchase other parts (bell housing, shifter, etc) to make this trans fit your application.

I wish this trans was around before I purchased my G-Force T5!

I think that I'll just stick with my TKO. It will handle all the hp and torque that I'll ever make. Now, by some chance if I go all hog wild and crater the tko, then I might consider getting one.

I just want something that will shift at high rpm reliably. $2300 isn't that bad, considering a TKO from Modern Driveline with the swapped short input shaft runs the same.

Looks strikingly similar to the old Toploaders just with interal shift mechanism instead of external shift rods......that and it's got overdrive :craz
