Our Mitsubishi 65" Projection TV crapped out Thu night. I tried to fix it on Friday with no joy (one of the internal power forms (-24vdc) is gone). Hit up Costco on the Vizio 70 LED tv and got it hooked up Saturday night. Wow. the picture is amazing. Still have some programming and color adjustments to make, but I'm very pleased with the set.

Also have a lot of cabling to re-route and hide.

What. No pictures? That thing has to be a monster.

We finally had to replace our old projection last year. We went with a vizio and its been great.

We just mounted a 60" Vizio over the fireplace. Was looking at some other 60" TV's but they didnt have the Sharp in stock, went with the vizio smart TV and blu ray player, got them both for the same price as the sharp.

I'll snap a pic tonight. Monster it is and fit within the existing cabinet. About 1/8" clearance on each side.

I'm jealous, We bought the Vizio 60" 3 months ago and I've been kicking myself for not getting the 70"!

The picture quality on the Vizio is great! My son bought one for my wife about two years ago. Unfortunately after about 1 1/2 years it appeared to have died. It didn't really, but one of the HDMI ports went out. Swapping over to another port "fixed" the problem. About 9 months ago same thing happened to the second port. We're now on the last remaining port. Certainly not trying to rain on anyone's parade, but it appears it is a VERY common problem with the Vizios and the replacement boards for the ports can be expensive and hard to find. Just a heads up if any of yours appear to die.

Yeah, we lost port 1 on ours (65" 3D TV). Moved the HDMI to two and it works fine. If anyone ever learns what causes this send me a PM. Sounds like a chronic problem.

That's odd about the HDMI ports going out. We've been replacing 1 TV at a time with Samsung and are very pleased so far. We've got a ~14yo 36" JVC tube monster in the bedroom that won't die and I'm to cheap to replace until it does. However with the electricity it's costing me (wife has it on half the day) and the less than crisp picture (gotta see Walking dead clearly to appreciate it!) I'm very close to replacing it.

I bought the extended warranty for 99.00 that gives me in home repairs for 60 months.....

I'm still using a 19" CRT...black and white....works great!

Wow a Cathode ray tube. Put some magnets near the edges and look at cool picture.

When I started out in the CCTV industry that is all there was. Hanging 24 inch CRT was a 2 man job. Now I can hang a 36 inch flatscreen all by myself. And I cannot believe how light they are.

Here's a pic I snapped from my cellphone of 'The Two Towers' that was on AMC HD last night.

Notice the tuner time on the left. Those digits are about 1" tall.

I hate to say it but I have two sony's hd tv for 12 years now and neither can be broken. I so want a bigger one but until they break, I'm stuck with a 32"/36" models.
