New Year News

Always on vacation!
Well, we got up as normal and the wife got ready for work. Now since I am retired I make her work. Hehehehehe Anyway, I got a text message from my oldest daughter just as SWMBO was walking out the door. I checked the text and my daughter was telling me that I should keep time open around 6/21. Now she just got home from a week here and while she was here her boyfriend couldn't stand to be away and got in her car and drove up here from SLO, CA on Christmas day.

So after a week, what I saw was a marriage coming! You know you can just tell those type of things.

I texted my daughter back with that is no surprise. Well a phone call later, they talked about getting married and they pretty much set the date as June 21. Now his Bday is 6/20 and hers is 6/22. So they will get married in the middle. Then they can have three days of celebration!

I think this is cool! Now to get the boy a job. He is an A&P Mechanic. She has to finish her degree. With 300 units and three different majors, I am not sure how much she has to do to get a darn major. She should have two already!

Anyway, this is a good way to start the new year!

Funny, Tim!

Yep I am gaining a son. He is a good one though. Um, she is 24, going to be 25 the day after the wedding. Going to shoot for a 6/21/2010 wedding.

One of the benefits of being LDS. They get married in the Temple, vey nominal cost, then the reception...Well, there will be four. One in Brawley :$$$ where she grew up and we moved from, one in Porterville :$$$where he is from, one in SLO :$$$where thier friends are and he grew up and one here in SoUtah :$$$for the people here that love her. Whew! So I guess the cheap wedding will be offset by the other stuff.

She did tell me she wanted to pay for it. Yea, right!!!!! :$$$ :$$$ :$$$ She works part time and he is looking, sure, they will be living in my house before I know it. I am glad there are a couple empty bedrooms right now. :lol

Hey, man. ain't nothing wrong with "refreshments in the cultural hall" LOL. THey'll crank up the basketball goals.

I love the LDS Traveling Wedding Extravaganza. MY best friend was married in Idaho Falls, had the reception at their stake center, and then had a reception in Columbus, GA, in the cultural hall of the church house he grew up in.

It was weird, as I was best man, but since I am inactive and ineligible for a recommend, I had to wait outside the temple while they tied the knot.

and of course you will now have to give them lots of good advice, like when i got married 25 1/2 years ago and my best man stood up and declared that it was a great idea that we got married in the late afternoon, because if it doesnt work out, at least we hadnt wasted the whole day!!
He is still my best mate and the Princess still doesnt like him.
