No 1969 Mustang Coupes at Ford Nationals

So I made my first trip to ford nationals this past weekend in Carlsile,PA and I was blown away by the size of the swap meet and by the shear volume and quality of cars there.

Bit disappointed to see that there were no 69 Coupes though. Fastbacks and Mach1's out the wazoo. But no Coupes. Cant wait to bring mine there next year and be the rare one lol.

Overrall it was a great car show......even had to give a person the hemlic manuever cause they were choking on a hot dog. Crazy day. Cant wait til next year.

Was a good time other than a few blips of foul weather.....

Its always good to not see many of the car you own there. Better to be unique.

definently like being unique. Weather wasnt bad at all. Very few drizzles. Very hot once the sun was out. My gf got burnt bad. Awesome show tho

You should try finding a 69 convertible at most shows. I went to the 45th Anniversary in Birmingham, AL last year. There were over 5,000 Mustangs there. I only found, including my car, five 69 verts, and two were in vendor's displays. At local shows, if they have a 69-70 convertible class, I can almost be assured of having the only car in the class. Lots of first place trophies. Kind of like winning a Polish beauty contest. Aside from the Sportsroof body, 69's don't get no respect. The Rodney Dangerfields of Mustangdom.

69's are my favorite looking too. The 4 headlight design is my favorite part. Must be a good design if they brought the design back for the 2005-2011 mustangs.

The '05-11 four headlights you refer to is not a four headlight system. The inner lights are driving lights. They activate with a separate action and are "on" only with the low beam lights. More like the 65-66 fog lights..........sorry.

Yep. Although, the design is similar to the 65/66 GT also.....the 65/66 lights are more of a bolt on vs the look of a more flush mount 69.

+1
I rarely see 69 or 70 convertibles at shows. I like being the only one sometimes.
