No more mini-van!

I dropped off my company mini-van and picked up my new car today!

yep, 2011 Taurus. It's a base model but much nicer than the mini-van. I really like it. One of the perks of my job is a company car for 4 years or 80,000 miles. I have had a Grand Prix, the mini-van and now the Taurus. The Grand Prix was a pretty nice car, the van sucked (all though I could put a lot a crap in it), the Taurus is a nice car. I could see myself owning one but maybe the SHO version.
 
Very nice. But then again anything beats a minivan . For the first time ever I actually like the Taurus. Never been a fan before.

I think we discussed that when I was at your house Craig, that was my favorite rental car, nice layout, comfortable with power and the same as a Lincoln MkZ without all the whistles. Good choice. If I need a newer family car in the next couple years I'm pretty sure it's going to be a Taurus, hard to beat.

If you want a SHO wait until 2013 version...Ford already announced it but for some reason won't build it (with the upgrades versus current SHO) until then.
 
Thanks Larry. Yes my job is a PIA. I am always on the road. I travel every week and sometimes for several weeks in other countries. I miss a lot of my families everyday life and that sucks. My company knows that it's a hard life and they take good care of me. I get perks like the hotel points which we used to book all our power tour hotel stays, company car and I get to have my office in my house so when I am home I'M HOME! Company car is nice perk because I don't pay for the gas, maintenance, insurance, anything (it is considered income and is taxed however).
Anyway, I like it. I would love to have a SHO version!!!
