However I have seen several of you around other sites. I am building a 65 coupe resto mod. So far I have built a rotisserie and sand blasted the car. I have replaced the drivers side floor pan and made several other patch panels. I welded my cowl vent shut, replaced the drivers side rear quarter panel, outer wheel well and the left side of the trunk.I had to cut off and replace the roof and while I was at it smoothed out the drip rails for a cleaner look. I am currently making the front and rear windows flush mounted.
I am keeping the 289 and replacing the C4 with a T5. I will be putting twin turbos and fuel injection in. I am removing the front bumper and using the R model front end. I will be painting the car black with a purple pearl. I will paint rally stripes and paint realistic flames in them.

Welcome to the fix. We are a visual bunch, and it seems we could use a lot more pics of this build. Sounds like some really good work!

Welcome.

Great project.

Make use of the gallery. I am very interested in seeing your process to flush mount the glass. I plan to do that on my next project.

Welcome. Theres a few of us doing 65-66 restomod coupes here. Yours sounds interesting, get some more pics up.....

Welcome Tony! Glad to see you found this site. I can confirm that Tony does nice work. He has helped me with a couple projects on my car and is a cool guy. One word of advice on this site is what ever you do don't take the the cookies if they offer you them. :eek:mg

That's right, the cookies are great but the boiled peanuts are real hard to say no to. So I have heard.

Welcome aboard and as it has been previously stated we are a very visual group. Hit up the members build section and post away. It would be nice to see your process throughout the different stages.

Hey Tony, welcome to the best place on the net! Sounds like a very interesting project you have there, be sure to post pics as we love pics of new stuff!
