Never had them. So you leave the hull on and boil them that way? Hmmm. They kinda turn out like green beans that way???

Yes..you boil them as is. But unlike green beans the peanuts turn into this Heavenly Purple gift from the God's. Not mushy and not hard ( just right ). :thu

There are few heavenly culinary delights that I'll gorge myself on until they're completely gone. Fresh hot boiled peanuts are on that list! Mmmmmmmm.

Oh yeah, damn yankees! Bet they hate grits too!!

Boil them in salt water or do you salt them later? Yes I know that salt is bad for you and worse for me, but it is one of the very few vices that I have.

I know that they are a love'em or hate'em kind of thing. I cannot pass judgement as I have never had them.

Boil them in salt water. And BTW, they sell them canned but I don't recommend them to pass judgement on. Fresh and hot are the way to go!

Do you eat the hull? And I love my grits.

Peel the shells and eat the delectable morsels inside!

p.s. By state law, boiled peanuts are the official South Carolina State snack!!!!
