OBD 1 Port

CUAviator

"I wanna go fast..."
So I want to read some codes on my 302 crate motor, but I can’t seem to find the OBD 1 port. I’m posting pics of the engine bay in case someone can help point out where it is.
(Additionally, unless I’m crazy, it looks like an EGR delete as well??)

Remind me, are you using stock Ford fuel injection? If so there is no OBD port. It uses a small red led light that flashes the codes

It could be hidden anywhere. Mine is in the glove box.

Not stock fuel injectors. But in just looking for “the place to plug in a reader/paper clip”. I know where the CEL is if I need to go the paper clip route. I just can’t find the port lololololol :-(

Yep, have to use the paper clip method. My plug is under the hood near my relays, yours could be anywhere. Sorry, wish I could be more helpful

No worries, you’ve been more than helpful in the past!
As for the other question - it looks like an EGR delete, no?

This is what my test port looks like

Yep, that’s why I took pictures of my engine bay Incase anyone noticed/recognized that port that I may have overlooked.

I don't have any idea where your port is, but you can get a little scanner that reads the codes for you, so you don't have to count flashes.

Are OBD ports not to be located nearby/underneath the steeringwheel ?
In your place I would look nearby the ECU

Looking over the pic's you posted, I would look inside pass area near glovebox.
Leaning toward the wire loom entering thru firewall from pic shown.

Mine is near the relays by the firewall on the passenger side also.

I would agree that maybe it was run inside through the firewall behind the glove box.

I would follow this main loom. tapatalk_1559637645~2.jpg

ok, good news for me. With all your help, I found the port - I was indeed tucked up behind the glove box, but also encased in some sort of black bock cover that I had to pry open.
anyway, so I warmed Up the engine and performed the KOEO test:
15...instead of 11
67
85
(I can read those but they don’t really make sense)

BUT NOW...when I try to do the KOEO or Cylinder balance, the CEL does nothing - no flashing, no code 11...nothing. Any ideas?

Code 15 "B" camshaft position - timing over retarded {bank1}
67. Air assit injector control circuit high
85. exhaust valve control solenoid circuit low {bank2}

Good luck
