Blast cabinet, the one Doug said I could have a while back. :yah

New plexi glass for the window and new gloves and I'll be blasting away. I'm already making a list of things to put in it. :confu

Awesome!!

That is a great size too.

One of my own personal preferences to a quality restoration, blasted clean and fresh paint. Its always disappointing to spot a part that wasn't properly cleaned before it was painted. Although, in fairness, its not usually just one part, but more likely the entire engine (accessories and all) that get that treatment.

Once I get Gertrude back, and I got the front suspension off, I'm going to blast it and paint it all so it's all nice and clean and new looking. Basically whatever I can take off Gert and stick in there, I will.

That's a great addition to any shop!! When I got mine, they gave a roll of a heavy plastic that I put under the glass. That way when it gets hazy I just replace the plastic and keep going. I don't have to worry about replacing the glass.

Don't forget to get a shopvac to hook up to it, so you can reduce the dust in the cabinet.

I love blasting cabinets and blasting! It always seems miraculous to take a rusty piece of junk and turn it into a shiny piece of junk!

Got one!

Why not find an old oven and powdercoat the front suspension parts......

I already have a guy for all my powdercoating needs (and he's cheap - he's doing my engine parts right now). :thu

As a suggestion Kat, you might consider replacing the glass with a piece of tempered glass. Any glass place can cut it for you. In the long run it'll be cheaper compared to the number of times you'll end up replacing plexi. I just got my blast cab up and running last month. I love it!!

Now if you bought new suspension stuff from Opentracker, it already comes blasted and painted......just saying.

I wish I had a blast cabinet. I spent many hours yesterday cleaning up my spindles by hand getting them ready for paint...
