Kiss and Motley Crue touring together this summer, just ordered tickets :beer
Too funny. Back in the day this would have been a dream concert to attend. Hell, I still might go if only to see what the crowd make-up would be. I sure won't be going to VH and having to sit through Kool and the Gang!

FYI, I never got past the day. Now, you wanna see some people who fell asleep in high school and woke up 20 years later? Go see Poison. If that ain't a page out of the yearbook nothing is. Remember T E R R Y, the minute you grow up is the minute you've lost yourself.

You're misunderstanding me maybe. I couldn't be more stuck in that era...at least musically. I just think it would be funny as hell to see all the old bald fat bastards rockin' out together. I'm used to it by my lonesome in the garage just not in an auditorum with a few thousand others.

My music list consists mainly of the following;

Crue
AC/DC
Maiden
"Old" VH
Ozzie
Queen
Aerosmith
Priest
Queensryche
Whitesnake
and lots of other "hair" stuff. Like I said, pretty much an Eighties metal head.

Take out the Queen and Iron Maiden and it's a mirror image. Gotta throw in Def Leppard too! Most of the one's I've went to the crowd is pretty "normal". Kiss, Aerosmith, VH etc are mostly people you went to high school with that are reliving the good ole days. Poison though, while the show rocks, has a fan base with a closet from the '80s. I can't make this up. 40 year old guys pulling up in their t-top camaros, no shirt, 20 yr mullets, girls on their side with cut up jeans, etc. It's worth the price of admission. Last one we went to even had the after-school fight in the parking lot with the girlfriends screaming and crying. Guys squaring off, taking off their shirts, throwing "Sheldon" punches, etc. To say it was hilarious would be a severe understatement. It was 20 yrs ago to the tee.

Damn kids and their music.....give me CCR, Stepenwolf, Doors, Led Zepplin, The Guess Who......aaaahhhhh....comfort.

No Maiden?????????? Are you mad? If you have never had the pleasure of the Powerslave album I do suggest you give it a listen.

Can't get over the whole thing with Vince Neal only serving 15 days for vehicular manslaughter and also the fact he has to be the least talented singer in all of rock music. The rest of the band is talented though.
I like old school rock, heavy metal, grunge, and some post grunge stuff, but don't really find anything of interest that's been on the radio by bands of recent - too generic!

They can jam for sure, just never did a lot for me. I didn't have the right vehicle for it I guess. 1965 mustang coupe vs 198x t-top camaro. Of course the Torino guys would jam some Maiden also.

He could almost play for the NFL, NBA or even run for Congress...almost.

Ain't that the truth.

Midlife is still waiting for the Mel Torme' tour. :yah
The first concert I ever went to was in 1976 and featured Poco, Yes, and Black Sabbath, with BS as the main group. Yes outperformed BS (which was at its peak). Note to headlining bands: watch your back!

And what's wrong with Mel Torme'?
