Oil in Wiper Motor?

Is there oil of some type in the windshield wiper motor? I recently removed mine and it has what appears to be oil on the outside. There is no other oil under the dash, so I suspect the wiper motor.

If there is oil in the wiper motor and some has come out, does it need to be replaced?

There is no oil, but there is some grease. Grease is just oil with a thickener in it, and it will separate over time. So, it is probably from that. FWIW, every one I've pulled had some amount of oil on it.
