does anyone know anything about this pump. A google search for Boyle Dayton pumps does not show anything like this animal.

its a pre-visible, used in the teens/twenties before they put the big "visible" cylinders on them. can't do it right now, but i can post that pic on one of my gas pump forums & get you all the info you want.

Thanks. It appears to be a Boyle Dayton 76. I would much rather have a visible for outside my shop but this one is unique. And can be bought right.

Looks great but isn't as attractive as the type with the glass globe up top.

It looks like the hose and pump spigot might be more modern than the pump itself.

i didnt see your p.m. until after i found the thread. not used to the little red indicators yet... mark is corect, the nozzle is newer, should just have a simple brass nozzle on the end without a handle. you can extend the tube up where the hose attaches. i've done that before with these & run wiring & added a globe on top. theres a few things you can do to dress them up.

extended tube like these:

add a fixture for a globe similar to this;

Thanks. Nice looking pumps on those links. How hard is it to get the plain nozzles?

Thanks. I'm going to go take a closer look at it tomorrow. Then decide if I want to pick it up.
