Were you nervous about the R/R'ing the chrome mouldings?

if you are changing the rubber gasket out too, you can cut the rubber first & then its easy to remove the mldgs without damage.

42 Cubans.......

Yes, we tried to remove the trim but decide since I had a new gasket, we just cut and things just came right of.

All the clips were good but the installer preferred to put in new ones rather than spend an hour cleaning the old ones. I had some from NPD but they seemed to be made of to thick of a material and would not lock in. He had some that come in a plastic sleeve that is used on a Ford van. We removed the plastic sleeve for our application and they worked real good.

No surprises under the gasket. The main thing was the sealant had dried and was not sealing good plus the chips. Had him seal the rear window also where the sealant had just dried out between the glass and rubber.

Can't you see the bus we shipped them in on? People for sure....smoking is bad for you, using illegals is just fine. :lol :lol :lol

The more money I can save means the more money I have to contribute to the economy in other ways. (Buying more stuff I don't need)

I have found most of your younger installers don't know how to install older mustang windshields or backglasses, they leak or they really damage the chrome. Rich.

Yep....I had a discussion with one shop here. I asked him how he sealed the windows and he said he uses no sealer because it is not called for. I said I would like him to and he said he is the installer and knows what to do, I do not know........ He also said most people driving old cars expect them to leak so they keep them out of the rain. Well, he did not get the job......he was in his mid 30's.

That is my point. I have been installing those windshields for 40 years, I know what it takes to not make them leak. I should make a video. I make them for every thing else. Rich.

Sure, make the video and send it to every glass shop out there......cuz the ones that need it would not buy it cuz they "know how".
