Old Typewriters

Came across an old Royal Companion typewriter (serial # CD-160010) today for a deal....free. Best I can estimate the age is in the '30's. Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge of them. Goes good with the '40's Singer sewing machine we have. Going to have to figure out a display for them.

Looks almost as good as this one...

Last month when I went out to my parents place to "trade" Mustangs, it was the first time I had a chance to look around in Dad's garage. I saw the old family typewriter that I used when I was in college. Long long long before laptop's with word connected to a printer. :hs Nice find, but if you are going to put it on display have fun dusting it. :sarc
