On this Christmas Eve---

I hope each and everyone has a wonderfull celebration this year. We should take a moment to talk to an elderly aunt/Uncle/ grandparents or parents, not just sit at the table with them --talk about how they celebrated Christmas as a child, changes they have witnessed, their service time, how they met, you might see a sparkle in their eyes just from their trip back in their minds! You better do this while you can because they are sometimes gone before you have a chance to. I also hope you enjoy all the time with children around you that are enlightened with the magic of Christmas. They will be grown up and gone in the blink of an eye and you will be grandpa and grandmea at the table having Christmas dinner. I truly wish each and everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy new year! (I am hoping for a little better one myself but I will be happy just to see 2012 and whatever it brings!)

Agreed. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and takes some time to get away from all the presents and travel to really reflect on the importance of it.

As I stood in my store watching the sunrise and getting attitude from some customers for being out of stock of the slippers they desperately need for christmas, I thought to myself. Just remember its not about the presents, or who spent more money on one another. Let's keep the reason for this holiday in our hearts. Christmas is a celebration of Jesus's birthday and time to spend with our friends and family.

I consider all of you friends even though we may have never met , and wish you all a very merry Christmas and happy new year. Enjoy life, family and friends.

Well said, I have seen a post similar on facebook about "are facebook friends really friends"? --I consider most everyone on this forum a friend even though I have only met some, I probably open up here more than I would in person, and I like to get opinions here (I don't always agree but I listen --lol) a forum friend is different than someone you have met in person for years--I almost put a voice to each post--a picture to some without one posted. You guys are there with word of encouragement or kindness when it is needed---enough said---have a great one!

+1 on all above.!!

Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy New Year to you all and your family , friends and acquaintances.
MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!!!

Despite the fact that it is our cars that originally brought us all together, at the end of the day it's all about family and friends. What makes this forum a place we all come back to again and again is the strong sense of community this place engenders. It even applies to some us who behave like that crazy old uncle we would prefer to lock up in the basement when company comes over. Today might be a good day to check the lock on the basement door!!!

For the rest of you, enjoy the time with your family and friends..................................

And here I thought you bozo's just loved coming back to this forum to read my spiritual words of wisdom. No?

Um, the shepherd of the flock?

Oh crap , that makes us the sheep. Never mind.

But what if I am that elderly relative? :bomb

Seriously, I'm not really that old. It just seems like it when I realize all of my ancestors are no longer with us. And I do wish I had spent more time doing what you suggest. I do have older brothers and sisters, but I'm afraid their memories would mostly be of me being a pest. :char

Merry Christmas to all!

Merry Christmas

And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.
