An Englishman, a Frenchman, a Texan, and 2 Mexicans were among the passengers on a plane that developed engine trouble. they knew that they needed to lighten the load or everyone on board would surely die. The Englishman volunteered to die so that the rest may live. As he headed to the door, he yelled,"Long live the Queen!" and jumped out. The Frenchman volunteered next. "Viva Le France!" he yelled, then jumped. The plane was still too heavy, so the Texan got up and moved to the open door. He grabbed the two Mexicans, threw them out of the plane and yelled,"Remember the Alamo!"

Or a different version to the above joke...

On that fateful day March 6, 1836, Davy Crockett woke up and walked from his bunk on the floor of the Alamo up to the observation post on the west wall. William B. Travis and Jim Bowie were there already. The three gazed at the hordes of Mexicans moving steadily towards them. Davy turned to Bowie with a puzzled look on his face, and said, "Jim, are we having some landscaping done today?"
