I wish my dad would have lived so I could have done such. My folks first car was a 63 SS Impala in a dark blue color. Cool ride.
I did get to do something cool for him. He had an 81 el Camino that he bought new he loved. Mom was cheap though and all she would let him get was a base model complete with anemic V6(the odd-fire one at that!). I yanked that and built and dropped in a healthy 350 for him. Never forget the look on his face the first time he realized that he could now get the tire to break loose! Man I miss him.
