Oops fire! - UPDATE - Fixed Picture Links

janschutz

Corn Hauler
Last Friday, Julie and I were at the farm to burn a few of the many brush piles left by the wood cutters last year. :rant I started the first one and when we had it controlled, I let Julie start the second one. Sure enough, that one got away from us. Luckily it was burning toward the pond. We charred about a 1/2 acre.

After we had it all cleaned up on Saturday, the area was looking pretty good.

Here is our oops.

Re: Oops fire!

Come up here in the spring and we'll give you a lesson in back burning! The entire state goes up in flames every year.

Glad nothing bad happened.

Re: Oops fire!

I had a friend who changed out a breaker in his uncle's house due to he kept tripping it using a tool. He never changed it back. House burned to the ground a week later.

AZ forest fire started by idiots in 2002 burned the house, cabin, and Jeep.
