A New Zealand woman almost lost her life when her hand was accidentally severed while having sex on a yacht in Croatia, the New Zealand Herald reported.
Police spokesman Kralievic Gudeli told The Croatian Times that it started during a little holiday celebration.
"It appears they were engaged in a passionate act in the bathroom where at some stage the sink broke," he told the publication.
According to the report, the woman's hand was reattached after a six-hour operation by surgeons in the city of Split, Croatia.
Although authorities believe that it was an accident, the British man involved in incident has fled, and police need to find him to get his side of what happened.
The West Austrialian reported that the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade is providing assistance to the woman and her family.
Last year ago another woman wasn't as lucky in a similar situation, when her boyfriend accidentally shot and killed her during a sexual fantasy game.
