Our FedEx driver died yesterday...

Found out today that the FedEx driver we have had as our guy for 16 years died from a massive heart attack in his truck while he was working. Truck was stopped and he didn't answer dispatch pages. Another driver found him. He was only 44.
I know it's not like losing a family member but when you see a guy practically every day for years, he chats with you and always gives you a smile even though you screwed up the waybill, it's tough. He seemed fit and certainly got his exercise with his job but you just never know. He didn't have a wife or kids but he was close to his family and was known by one of our staff from high school.
Dean, you will be missed. :sad

That is very sad for someone so young, Your life can end faster than you can blink, That's why people need to be saved, and give there life To Jesus Christ.

That's kinda'the way I want to go (many years from now). Go out for a long drive in the 'stang on a perfect spring or fall day, pull in the garage, shut off the car, take a long look around the interior and once over the hood and then Gack. :skul

Could you leave a note asking for the car to be sent up to me?

Wow, 44, that is a shame. It kinda makes you take a new perspective on age. My father passed away at 55 from a massive heart attack. To me he was always just, well, OLD! When that occurred it made me take a different look at age.

Perfect. Always feels good to be recognized. NFL draft only one week away. Won't be long before your next whoopin'.

I guess the details were a little sketchy yesterday. He was working but was on a break and working out at his apartment complex gym. When he was done he went to leave and collapsed. Nobody went into the gym for a few hours so he wasn't found for a while. He was seen on the gym surveillance camera. Still a sad loss of a young life.
