Our son is moving out. Sad but happy.

My son and his girlfriend have found their first apartment in San Francisco. We've known that this would happen and that they have been looking. But yesterday, he or they dropped the bomb. Since he helps run a coffee barista place up in the city and she is going to city college up there, this was a good decision for them to move there.

So for the next couple weeks we will be busy helping packing and moving them. Oh joy!!!

So the first one leaves the nest. I hope Mrs. Maynard is handling this well. Steppin out onto new ground here. As you will soon find out, the kids moving out is like everthing else. It has it's good points, and it's bad ones too. Make sure you help them get that new pad in tip top shape pops!

Can't wait for mine to leave the nest for good. Left several times , but always seems to end up back at home. Love him, but birds gotta fly and keep flying not making circles.

Not sure how big your house is or how many bedrooms it has, but I'd move with all due diligence to remodel the one they're leaving into something that cant be reversed in short order. :)

Could be worse...I have an older sister who is over 40 and never exactly managed to "leave the nest" for any length of time just yet.

The real reason is that dad hasn't fixed the leaky roof over his room yet and he's tired of the water torture. :lol
