Out for a drive in my Fiero

It was such a great day yesterday I needed to get out and drive. And I felt like doing it on four wheels and aggressively. So I took out the GT and headed out into the back roads of California. Great twisties and some high speed straights. Got it up to 115mph and had the tires squealing in the turns. Funstuff.

Congrats Mike, yesterday was beautiful :coo. Glad you we're able to enjoy the ride. How are the brakes working out?

Never mind the brakes question, just noticed your title said Fiero. LoL

What route did you go? Need some fun roads to drive on the weekends.

Damn scumbag contractors! They should be working on Sundays, not driving above the speedlimit!

Were you able to smell the garlic through Gilroy?

Tough call. I say PT is worse.

At least you can rip the body off of a Fiero and make a kit car out of it.

Sorry I got a little bi-polar on that one. Funny stuff.

I just helped my neighbor on the next block sell a Fiero GT a couple months ago.

It was a pretty nice car as far as Fieros go and it had been sitting in their garage undriven for about five years. He had gotten really into those cars at one time then sort of lost interest and parked it in the garage.

I am really not that nice a guy and they didn't pay me anything for finding them a buyer. Basically, I got sick of his wife asking me all the time if I wanted to buy it so I went out and found a buyer for them....now if I just could get some duck tape on her mouth, the woman talks non-stop and you had better hope you aren't in a hurry to get somewhere if you run into her but at least I removed one excuse for her to talk to me, LOL!

Yeah it does take a while to get to 115 but it still had more but I ran out of road. With such a short whell base they are very unstable but holding it dead straight it's okay. On curves though this little thing will easily out run most V8 beasts. Mid-engine does have its advantages.

Of course you can buy the kits to swap in a number of V8s...NorthStars, Corvette engines.....or bigger V6s.

All stock. Oh and this car is 23 years old with 103k on the odometer.
