Passed Out Working on the Stang.

Saturday morning I was under the mustang disconnecting the emergency brake cables. When I stood up to get another tool, I passed out. The Dr said my blood pressure was 150/100. My EKG was fine but now I am waiting the results of all my labs to see if I need to stay on the blood pressure meds. What a bummer.

These meds are making me sleepy and I an banned from power tools until my BP is regulated. :rant

At this rate, I will never get the new rear in my Mustang.

Did you come to with a headache from whacking the floor? I hate when that happens! That can happen to me if I don't keep food in my system. Orange juice is a quick fix.

Dang.....that can be bad in so many ways....the fall itself could dent the car......

Get the meds working and things will be much better. Get a blood pressure cup for the house and keep an eye on it. Mine went sky high for a bit. The VA gave me a home setup to monitor it. After about two weeks, it balanced it self out.

luckily I was in the grass beside the driveway. I learned dirt with a side of grass tastes bad.

I now have a cup and I am take reading every few hours for a week. I thought I was stabilized but I gave my son a hand moving a couple boxes in the garage. Now I am light headed again.

The emt's said mine had spiked higher while I in the ambulance when I had the stroke. Glad to see you didn't ignore it and took care of it right away.

Working alone on our mustangs isn't responsible anymore for us , old farts !! :roll :roll
We have to learn how to make the hobby interesting for the youngsters so they can do the work , for us , and at the same time , keeping a eye over us . :confu :confu

Glad you didn't hurt yourself ( maybe your ego a bit ?? )

There's a warning on the Viagra bottle that states "Do not attempt to work on classic Mustangs when taking this drug". Not a MD but "my" guess you may have had what's called "orthostatic hypotension". Blood pressure falls suddenly when you stand up and you pass out. Sometimes something as simple as dehydration can cause it to happen. Be sure to get a good check by the MD's and do what ever test they need to run. It's actually somewhat common and if you ever heard someone say "I got up too fast" and they got dizzy. Its the same, but in a less eventful form. Again, be sure to get completely checked by the Doc's. BTW, I use "Cialis".

John , You don't take VIAGRA to jack up the car !!!! :no :no
the more the blood is down under , the less is in the brain !!! FWIW. :wth :wth
