Payback's a biotch

She has an attorney??? Sorry, if you can't produce the ticket, you don't get the money. How much simpler can it be? What can an attorney possibly do to help her get the money?

Of course, I agree with Mike--she never had the ticket. Just another money grubber. :no

I can't argue with you girls for anyone with any spec of common sense would raise their hands saying that they have a winning ticket and giving their name and location to the news people. I guess even the thugs who would kill to kidnap such a person, knew better to not waste their time taking her hostage, though I wish they had and thrown away the key.

The possible sad angle to this story is that the real winner may have not bothered to check their ticket after hearing the "winner" came forward and tossed it. Can you imagine if that were the actuality? I rarely if ever play the lottery anymore (unless it gets to be one of those ginormous deals) but long ago I would pick up a ticket now and again. They had a special $250k deal once marketed around paying off your mortgage. The winning ticket was sold at the gas station from which I bought my ticket. Prize was never claimed...and hadn't check my ticket and upon hearing this news (months later) couldn't find it! I'm sure I wasn't the winner but the "what if" still bugs me to this day. The "what if" on a couple hundred million would be a whole other deal, I'm sure.

Quick, hire that attorney and file suit against Mid. You can claim he's responsible for you loosing the "winning ticket"!
