Permeated silicone tubes

Just got back from the O'Reilly managers conference in St Louis. I was talking the the Permatex rep and he stated that the old squeeze tubes are coming back and the current version is being scrapped . Biggest flop in their history .

That sux. I don't like how they no longer roll up like toothpaste tubes but the rest of the design is tits. Finally I can put a partially used tube on a shelf for a couple of weeks or so and be still able to use it again with a minimum of picking dried silicone out of the spout. Even less work than unstopping Right Stuff aerosol cans. Whereas sometimes the older style would dry up half the tube. Plus the caps would crack about half the time and become useless for preserving the rest of the tube. Particularly annoying if you didn't notice the crack. How the hell is the new design not a win?
