As hotrods are all about power/weight ratio, I got to wondering what that beast weighs. A quick google shows a 12V-71 weighs 3300 lbs. Of course, it kicks out 1,200 ft/lbs, so it can get moving. More info:

Edit: article says 4500 lbs for the 12V-71. Chit! (3300 lbs is the boat version)

No, a guy named Randy Grubb (a metal fab guy). The article mentions him collborating with a guy that built one with a tank engine - IIRC, that is the one Lenno now owns.

EDIT: further research shows Rabdy Grubb also built Leno's tank car.
