I have a .jpg document and I want to resize and/or stretch individual letters in the document. How do I do this?

Thanks.

Frank

Hi Frank, I'm not much of an expert, but it's easier for me to try to modify it for you first. If it works for me, then I can tell you how I did it. Want to e-mail the .jpeg to me?

.jpg being a single layered document, it would be impossible without affecting the rest of the picture.
You would have to make a new layer. cut the letters out of the original layer and paste into the new layer, then transform/scale the new layer. You would also have to go back to the original layer and heal/stamp the cutouts areas to hide the cutouts.

If you have the newest version of Elements you could use content aware fill to start, then create a new layer for your text.

I got it done. I couldn't figure out how to work with layers, so I created a copy of the file and "scaled" that, then cloned and pasted what I needed. Originally, resizing wasn't working until I found out I had to scale it instead.

Thanks for the help (and offer of assistance, John).

Frank
