Nice to see another Ford replace a Japanese truck in a driveway. Congrats!

Hey Mel, you know what is sad? the nissan was built in tennessee with an american manufactured engine--I think it was a higher "U.S. contents" than this F 150! It is not the really loaded 150 (I wish I could afford heated leather seats) but it has probably more than I will figure out---the computer center is amazing, supposedly you can use "key" set to limit the engine rpms so if you loan it out and don't want it ran hard, or junior rodding it,lots of other stuff you can adjust also. it rides pretty nice, sets very high and seems like a tank compared to 20 years of rangers and one frontier.

I would have to check again the axle ratio--I think it is around 8,ooo # towing---the twin turbo v6 is the tow monster--11,300 pound cap. with 3:73 axle--that v6 is making over 400 #s of torque at 2500 rpms!!!!! I might have gotten one but none at this dealer or around in this price range truck---it is available in xl and xlt but not stx?? kinda screwy. Mine is an xlt--I would have prob gotten a stx (little cheaper normally) but they had more rebates on this.

What is the difference in tuning on the 5.0 compared to the Mustang? Wonder if the truck can be tuned for the 412 hp...

I think exhaust, also compression is different, what else I never heard, I wonder what a set of headers and dual exhaust would do (besides null and void my warranty)--

Nice truck.

To me, the most important piece of the whole domestic/import debate, aside from where the vehicle is made, parts content, etc. is simply FORD is an AMERICAN company. Nothing wrong with a bit of nationalism once and a while.

cool, what towing capacity? My 01 F150 with a 4.6 is just not up to towing my 6,000lbs camper.

Really? What axle ratio? I'm towing a 7,000 lbs boat with my 4.7L, 3.55 axle Dodge and no issues - even in the mountains.

So how about a pic that I do not have to use a magnifying glass to see. But is does look like a nice truck, I think. :sarc
