piston head volume Help

I have been looking for 3 days now, because I didn't want to bother you stangfixers But i need HELP!!

I've been looking at a piston well a couple_ It lists as a dish but does not give a CC it has a inch measurment, Example-

.030X2.500 diameter recess piston head. Can someone please show me how to convert this into a CC measurment.

You can calculate the volume in cubic inches and then convert it from cubic inches to cubic centimeters.

I tried to show the pregression of the steps as you go through what you do know.. Hopefully this helps...

1 cubic inch is 16.387 cubic centimeters.

The volume is "Area of the circle" multiplied by the "Depth" (of the Area).

Area is Pi R^2 ( Pi R Squared) where R = Radius, which is 1/2 the Diameter. Pi is a constant 3.14159

Area = 3.14159 * Radius ^2
or
Area = 3.14159 * 1.25 ^2
or
Area = 3.14159 * (1.25 * 1.25)
or
Area = 3.14159 * 1.5625
or
Area = 4.908 sq in
------------------------------------------------
Volume = Area * Depth
or
Volume = 4.908" * 0.030"
or
Volume = .147 CI (cubic Inches)
-----------------------------------------------
CC = Cubic Inches * 16.387
or
CC = 2.413 CC

I have to grab some paper towel to wipe the druel off my chin and try to straighten out my left eye. I blow at math.

I just didn't want to spend 450$ on KB 364's which are Hyper pistons VS 350$ on forged Probe pistons. So i was looking for cheaper Hyper pistons- BUT I will be ordering the forged Probe pistons.

Make sure the probe pistons don't have a 3mm oil control ring. I have a set and had to buy $300+ total SeL piston rings to get the pistons to seal. I am running a blower so that likely did not help my setup to eliminate blow by. If you do get 3 mm oil ring pistons look for a high tension oil control ring.
