Planning my week on the bike roadtrip

Off on a motorcycle roadtrip to Durango, Colorado in two weeks.
Wife and I on the ol'bike riding the old west....Yosemite NP, Nevada Desert, Bryce Canyon NP, Natural Bridges Monument, Mesa Verd NP, Durango, Monument Valley NP, Zion NP and Las Vegas (Mirage). bj bj bj

Hope you don't get too saddle sore :vic I used to make a yearly trip to Durango but I can't say I enjoyed it all that much of course I was driving a bus load of 4 legged creatures and not on a fine German two wheeled death trap.

Last night there was a show on cooking channel about some bike riders going alto the same route they stopped somewhere on route a Wagon train recreation Chuck wagon for diner looked like would be something you don't do everyday.

You also might contact Mel to find those out of the way spots on your route since that seems to be large part of his tourism area.

Just remember keep your wheels upright you only go down Once :dh

Already checked with Mel. I offered to stop by but he will be out on a tour. He did suggest a good tour book which I purchased.

My GF's dad and a couple buddies just got back from a 4300 mile trip from Missouri up to Sturgis and back. They took a bunch of detours. Sure looked like an awesome trip.

Oh that sounds like fun, my wife and I did a 10 day road trip thru Colorado for our honeymoon. We rented a Jeep and did some trails and took the train from Durango to Silverton, riding thru the mountains on a bike would be so awesome! Have fun and be safe!
