Well as of today I am no longer a police officer, and (technically), unemployed....until Tuesday that is. After all of these years it felt really strange walking out of headquarters with no badge and gun. My teammates at the traffic office gave me a nice send off and presented me a beautiful plaque. I really didn't expect anything but a heartfelt thanks, good luck and a handshake. I got all of those too. It really touched me and means a lot. Here's the plaque they gave me:

Looks like they are going to miss you a little. :whis

Enjoy your weekend off, truly a weekend off no possible emergency calls, last minute fill in for someone, yada yada yada... Practice for when you do retire. :beer

Thanks guys. I sure better enjoy the long weekend! Even though I'm currently scheduled Mon-Fri at my new job, that'll last only through the next month. Then it's off to the academy in GA for 4 months. It's close enough to drive home on the weekends, though too expensive to try to do it EVERY weekend!

BTW Mikey, my brother still works there (same unit, same shift as I had). I'll let him know if you'll be comin' through! LOL

Always good to have a happy ending. Congrads.

There was a time when we could use the money in the "Fix" bank account to buy things like the message in a persons avatar. "Kallipygos erastís" in mine is an example. You would so have that in yours Mr. I love this smiley :jerk
