Politics, I Hate Them!

I never answer my home phone unless the caller id says it's someone I know, so I'm able to avoid all those damned political calls. Still have to hear a bit as I erase the messages, however. Now, I'm in San Carlos, Mexico for 10 days and figured that would be one hassle I wouldn't have to deal with. Then, a few minutes ago my house phone rang and it was a damned political message for their elections down here!

Arrrrrgggggggghhhhhh!!!!!!!

I don't answer the home phone at all. People who know me and that I actually want to talk to have my cell # and my e-mail.

At first the only reason I had a land line was for the alarm system but now it has a back up that communicates via cellular with the alarm company.

My plan is to let the land line mail box get so full it won't take any more messages. We only use it as a number to give to people we don't really want to talk to.

I've debated getting rid of the house phone completely.

Haven't had a land line since 2004, don't miss it. All I got were telemarketing calls anyway.
Hell, I really don't care for having cell phones anymore, but work requires it.
