Power to Ignition Coil

I have a 67 mustang with a 289 and I just finished replacing the wiring harness with a CJ classic GT harness and I have 12v to the ignition coil when I crank it over but it has no power in the run position. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Bad ignition switch, tach not hooked up, bad resistor wire. I'll wager your tach is bad or not hooked up.

Mid is right on the mark. This schematic shows the path from ignition switch C through the tach (if you have one) then through the resistor wire and to the coil. If you don't have a tach then the harnesses just plug together. This is a schematic so it doesn't show the plugs and wire colors. You are getting 12v through starter solenoid "I" when cranking, just not the "run" part of the circuit.
