Not saying that I agree 100% but the following video might cause a few of us to go and see just how old our tires are on not only our vintage cars but probably more importantly our dailys.

Age of Tires / Edad de las gomas

Of course, let's not let the "mags" video in the upper right hand corner get us distracted.

Yep.....gotta watch the dates. A good shop will show you the date and explain them to you. I learned of the dating years ago when dealing with motorcycle tires. They also have a date coding.

The other thing....what is your car/family worth....the price of a set of tires that might be of questionable age?

This issue is already very known here and expecial in Germany because of the lack of speedlimitation on some parts of the AUTOBAHN.
Topspeed is 160 Mph or 245K mh.
Second reason is that the manufacturers of tires cuts in the % of natural rubber used in tires.
Thats why they dryed out more quickly thus thread failure. But that they don't tell you.
And the fact that their is the possibility that a retailer sell you a good deal .
So becausius !

No worried...the date code on mine are burned into the wood on the wagon wheel....alll's good. :roll
