Well guys I know this isnt on this forum or a ford but a story you guys might enjoy and possibly help with.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=306320&page=51
The original story as seen in the first post is:

If you haven't read or been involved in the thread about the Lady that lost her husband http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=298883 and was trying to sell off all her and her late husband's 67-72 Chevy Trucks on Ebay , then you must be wondering what this is all about. I would encourage you to go and read through the thread linked to above and then come back here, but I'll try to sum it up pretty quick.

As stated, this Lady suddenly lost her husband at the young age of 46. Her and her husband Clyde loved these old Chevy Trucks. When he died his wife Dawn was left with four of them. She posted three of them and a bunch of parts for sale on Ebay in one auction, but none of the items sold because it was just so much to haul off. One of our members posted her story in the thread linked to above. As of this date the thread has been viewed over 15,000 times. A lot of people's hearts went out to this lady because of her situation, so we decided to take up donations to help her. In one week we raised over $1500 through our board members donations. Some other boards members even got involved and donated.

It was decided to give Dawn $1,000, and to take the remainder and get her other truck on the road for her. The fourth truck that Dawn has is a 67 SWB and it's very special to her. Her and her husband called the truck "Ole Girl" and before his death they had plans to fix it up. So, as you probably gathered Dawn's 67 SWB will be the subject of this build. We hope by doing this for Dawn that it might bring some closure in her life regarding her husband's passing.

We only have $550 as of now to work with, so our plans are modest. Hopefully we can get some parts and maybe even more money donated to take this build a step further, but for now we are going to try and keep it simple. Hence the name - UNDERHAULIN.

Well the truck is now in Nashville and my good buddies Rus, Chuck, and several others are pushing it into high gear to get it done. Dawn now has cancer and we need all the help to get parts etc etc. So please read through the thread. Starting on page 52 is when it arrived in Nashville and we started to get to it. Rus is also the guy who helped me go get my mustang and do various things to it. These builds alone and work days the Nashville guys have had have help me learn and I donate my time/labor to do anything i can.

Thanks for the help guys and sorry its a Cheby

Also if you want to donate here is more info

If you'd prefer to send us money to buy one of those parts please feel free, again my paypal is rus1785@yahoo.com

Also we have raised $800 so far to buy a new GM create engine, we still have a little ways to go before we have enough to buy it.

I read through some of the various posts and think it's a pretty cool thing that the Chevy forum is doing. I don't know if this was thought of, suggested or tried yet but, has anyone from that forum contacted companies such as LMC, OPG or the other Chevy truck parts suppliers to see if they'd donate anything? Something like this usually garners support from some of them. Good luck to all of you with the project.

Thanks for reading through and the great suggestion. I am not sure if they have but it is possible. Ill let them know so the guys really getting this thing together can give it a try

Thanks again

I don't like people to know I have a Chevy, but one thing I don't mind sharing is it is a pile. I have a tote with some parts like door handles and maybe a few other items on your list. When I come to check out those seats we discussed I will bring some junk. Might even drive the thing if it will make it that far!

We have people sending us must stuff except this currently. Trying to get more donations as the transmission bill is another $650. Dont really know about the donation part on that count as im not managing that stuff but luckily we had enough to buy a new crate engine

Windshield
A working radio in good shape (prob not an original, something that can get fm also)
head lights
really nice condition heater controls with cables
a battery and battery cables
a starter (we have a core)

Sorry but none of my 49-53 parts will work on her 67. Also, financially it would probably cost more to send a battery vs buying one locally.
