Putting together the new

msell66

The party’s over
Donator
Driving simulator. Picked up the materials this am, got the old race seat from the 66, took measurements from the Mustang and put it all together. Just waiting for the sales this weekend to buy the wheel, shifter and software. Once I have those I can finish the wheel and shifter mounts.

This should keep me occupied all winter after chemo treatments!

What software program will you be using? I didn't know that this was even possible, at least this way you when you blow up the engine it will be a virtual one!

After a week or so researching, here's what I came up with.

Xbox One with Kinect
Logitech G920 wheel, pedals and shifter
Forza 6 and Project Cars

Then Rock Band and a bunch of Kinect games for Deb. Got to keep her happy!! I'm waiting till later this week to buy to save a few $$. This is my first foray into video games.

I am familiar with Forza and the new one looks great. I will have to look into Project Cars as I have not heard anything about that. The boy did have a pedal and wheel set up, but I think he sold it, otherwise I could do the same thing!

thanks

Will the software include a PT Cruiser ahead of you to show you the line?

Thankfully, PT's are not considered "super cars", "race cars" or even "cars" and are not in those games. PT Cruisers are mostly owned by metro men who like metro men.
