Question for Military folks

Does anyone happen to know who is in charge of sending out separations pay? I would think DFAS but my husband has contacted DFAS and they said they have no record of the military paying him 20k+ last year. He's called several people about it trying to find out but no one knows shit. He no longer has access to MyPay anymore either.

All we want to do is file our damn taxes. :rant

He called tons of folks at DFAS... they have records of his pay every 2 weeks for the 12yrs he was in, and his past enlistment bonus', etc... but not a single record about the $20k seps pay he got for his reenlistment being denied (medical).

Is their any chance that money was already included in his earnings for the year. I don't see why it would be a seperate w-2 but I have been retired for 21 years now and a lot has changed. Sorry I can't help any more.

Pretty sure it wasn't included. I found another phone number that I emailed him and he's trying to call now.
Separation and Bonus Department 317-510-2829/5831/5950

Hopefully they have some record of him getting his seps pay. I just want to hurry and file taxes so I can get my mustang fixed! :thu

:wtf ....dfas is what I would say and also dfas indianapolis handles the pay also. Does he have his paperwork? He might need togo to a local base or VA office
