I've always thought that the height with the Global West springs was a tad too low.. plus they bottom out when I have the kids in the back seat.
So... following Opentrackers advice, I've been experimenting with modifying my rear leaf springs to obtain a better ride height. I bought an extra set of 4-leaf springs to use to augment my Global West springs. I took both sets apart and replaced 2 of the 5 GW springs which raised the rear almost an inch. After all the work, I'm pretty satisfied with the result. It still has a decidedly lowered look without the rear rake that Mustangs tend to have. Plus.. no more bottoming out.
After going through the process (swapping out one leaf at a time), I can swap out leaf springs on both side in less than two hours!!
