Rare Non-Mustang Diecast

Ponyman66

Yak, yak, yak
A year or so back a discussion in a thread mentioned the 1/18 diecast Mustang Twister Special from Ertl. During that conversation I had mentioned that Ertl also made the Torino Cobra version of the Twister Special and that I owned one. Someone replied they'd never seen or heard of it (I believe it may have been Tarafied). It's not surprising since they are pretty rare.

The reason I am resurrecting the topic is because I just found one for sale on Ebay. If you're interested in obtaining one, here's your chance (and they come few and far between!), and at a very reasonable price. If you just want to see what one looks like better look fast because it won't last long! No, it's not mine (I had to look too long and too hard to find mine!!) and I have no connection to the seller. Enjoy!

Pretty cool.
I wish they made a large scale die cast of a 70 convertible. That's what I need.

The way they're coming out with new models all the time I wouldn't be surprised to see one out in the next year or so! There are several manufacturers in the mix that love to do Mustangs. They're pretty accurate AND they're reasonably priced too.

Don't make my mistake though. When you see them come out buy them then! I wanted an '86 GT when they first came out because the black one they offered was exactly like the real one I bought new. It retailed for around $40. I waited and now WHEN they come up they're usually $100+!!
