Rat Rod material

Well I was supposed to fly to Buffalo and drive up to Toronto today but all my available options were cancelled. On my way home I stopped to look at some stuff on the side of the road that I have seen there for a while.
a 39 International truck for $1000
a 40 GMC cab for $1100
a 41 Hudson and a 39 Plymouth coupe on a late model chassis
The guy came out and was real nice, he said he was building a 40 Dodge rat rod, I had to check that out too. It has a 400M Ford V8/C6 and a 9" rear. He said it was a ton and half Firetruck. It was close to being finished. he said the Plymouth was on an S10 frame but it didn't look like an S10 to me. He also had a 57 Fairlane 2 door post sitting back under a car port but I didn't get a picture of that. I forgot to ask what he wanted for the Plymouth and the Hudson.

That is WAY to farkin high for those cabs! They look to be pretty good shape, but even the GMC's lower cowl bottom is rusted out & gone.

And to the Hudson jerk-offs... :no

But to somewhat contradict myself... i WOULD pay 1K for THIS one in a farkin heart beat!!! wow....

The '39 is pretty cool, if he had the front sheetmetal it would be a deal. Love the patina and the logo on the doors.

I'm with you on this one. Square cabs make the best rats IMO.
